Nanocosmetics

Cosmetic industry is using nanotechnology in the synthesis of nanocosmetics. Here nanosomes are used as delivery systems. Nanosomes are nanoparticles with size about 1000 times smaller than human hair. Nanosomes are capable of penetrating the outer layer of the skin and then delivering the nutrient materials embedded in them to the cells below the outer layers. Nanosomes are capable of penetrating to deeper inner layers which helps the cosmetic formulation and development of new cells. Production of new cells helps the skin to remain soft and wrinkle free. Nanosomes also performs the task of eliminating waste products from the cells. Some nanoparticles are used as covering materials for vitamins and growth promoters that are used by cosmetic industry. This covering is to avid irritation related disturbances.
